Zoë Kravitz cast as Catwoman in “The Batman”

Big news hit the comic book world today as Zoë Kravitz was cast as Catwoman in the upcoming Batman movie.

In film, Catwoman has only been played by four actresses, prior to this point. Lee Meriweather took on the role, alongside Adam West, for Batman in 1966. Michelle Pfeiffer provided a unique take on the character in Batman Returns. Halle Berry played the character in the heavily criticized Catwoman movie. Then, most recently, Anne Hathaway left her mark in The Dark Knight Rises, the final film in the Christopher Nolan Batman Trilogy.

Now, Zoë Kravitz will be adding her name to this list. Kravitz is set to play Catwoman/Selina Kyle in Matt Reeves’ upcoming “The Batman.” She will be playing this role opposite Robert Pattinson, who was recently revealed to have been cast as Batman. Currently, the film is set for release on June 25, 2021.
