Right now, the Train to Busan franchise is relatively simple and, thus, has a relatively simple watching order. The series starts with Train to Busan. Then, an animated prequel, Seoul Station, explains how some of the events of Train to Busan came to be. Right now, the series concludes with Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula, which generally picks up the overall narrative from Train to Busan. However, another sequel is planned for the future.

*Technically, Seoul Station takes place before Train to Busan. However, we suggest watching Train to Busan first in order to preserve the impact of the original film.

Train to Busan (English Version) Watching Order

The original Train to Busan films were released in Korea in Korean. Currently, an English language-version adaptation of the original film is in development. This film, The Last Train to New York, is set to be a re-imagining of Train to Busan rather than a direct remake.

This English-version is also set to be entirely distinct and separate from the Korean-version. So, do you need to watch Train to Busan before watching The Last Train to New York? The answer is no. You can jump into The Last Train to New York without having seen any of the other films first.
