Prequel

After the original Hunger Games books were published, a prequel to the series was published. The prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, explores Coriolanus Snow's past and offers information about how the games were originally created.

This prequel novel is set to be adapted into film. The film, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, is set to release on November 17, 2023.
