This watching order is designed to give an outline of the John Wick movie franchise. It explains what order to watch the John Wick movies and looks at any connections between them. 

John Wick Watching Order

The John Wick film franchise starts with John Wick. Viewers do not need to watch anything before watching John Wick.

The entire franchise proceeds in a very straightforward way. It starts with John Wick, is followed closely by John Wick: Chapter 2, and continues with John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. All of these films follow the same general storyline that proceeds from one film to the next. Because of this, we recommend watching the movies in order, without skipping any.

The Future of John Wick

Right now, two additional John Wick movies have been confirmed. John Wick: Chapter 4 is set to release in 2023 and John Wick: Chapter 5 does not currently have a release window.

In addition, a spin-off film, spinning out of events from John Wick: Chapter 3, has been announced. The spin-off is currently titled Ballerina. However, it does not currently have a release window.
