“The Beasts of Four Nations: Creatures from Avatar-The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra” Book is Coming

The world of Avatar: The Last Airbender (Reading Order) and Avatar: The Legend of Korra (Reading Order) is filled with a marvelous array of animals. Nearly every fan is familiar with sky bisons, dragons, lion turtles, and polar bear dogs but world of Avatar offers dozens of animals beyond this. There are koalaotters, otter penguins, elephant koi, deer dogs, platypus bears, and much much more. Now, a hardcover book is coming that promises to present the first in-depth look at the animals within this wonderful world.

The Beasts of Four Nations: Creatures from Avatar-The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra is currently set to release at the end of 2021. The solicitations details indicate that this hardcover book will provide “images and information on Avatar and Korra’s creatures large and small”. In this way, it specifically mentions animals ranging from well-known favorites, like the sky bisons, to some of the world’s lesser-known creatures, like singing groundhogs and purple pentapus. The solicitation even mentions that animals of the spirit world will be included as well.

Right now, there are two versions of this book up for pre-order. The first is a hardcover volume that presents everything discussed above. The second is a deluxe edition that collects the same book alongside “a gorgeous slipcase and deluxe cover treatment, art print, and folio.” Both editions are set to release on December 14, 2021.
