“Riverdale: Varsity Edition” Comic Collection is on the Way

There is a new comic collection coming from the world of Archie Comics. Recently, the rebooted and highly entertaining Archie series began receiving new collections under the label of “Varsity Editions”. These Varsity Editions are oversized hardcovers that collect the contents of multiple paperbacks. Now, Archie Comics from the world of the CW’s Riverdale show will be receiving Varsity Editions as well. 

Riverdale: Varsity Edition Vol. 1 set for release on November 9, 2021. Right now, the contents are not listed but the number of pages in this new book is about equal to the number of pages across the first two volumes in the Riverdale trade paperback series, Riverdale Vol. 1 (Review) and Riverdale Vol. 2 (Review). Given that previous Varsity Editions also gathered two trade paperbacks of content, this seems to be the most likely option. In addition, previously released Varsity Editions were oversized collections so it seems likely that this new Varsity Edition will be oversized as well. However, nothing is official yet and these details could change as we approach the new collection’s release date.
