References: Batman- Bad Blood (Movie)
Batman: Bad Blood is the third film in this Batman series of films and is part of the DC Animated Movie Universe. It directly follows the events of Batman vs. Robin (References) and leads into the events of Justice League vs. Teen Titans.
This movie is based on the Batman: The Court of Owls (Review) comic book story arc. However, it also contains smaller references to other comics.

- This movie takes place sometime after the events of Batman vs. Robin (References).
- The movie references the progress Damian and Batman and made over the course of Son of Batman (References) and Batman vs. Robin (References).
Comic Book References
- Talia’s grand scheme against Batman and gambit at control of the world is the focus of the Batman Incorporated Vol. 2 series, collected across Batman Incorporated Vol. 1: Demon Star and Batman Incorporated Vol. 2: Gotham’s Most Wanted. This series also details the fall of Heretic alongside the breakdown of Talia and Damian’s relationship.
- Batman’s “death” in this movie is similar to his “death” at the conclusion of Batman: RIP.
- As an extension of this, Dick Grayson taking over the role of Batman after Bruce Wayne’s “death” is the premise of Batman: Battle for the Cowl.
- Dick Grayson, as Batman, then teaming up with Damian Wayne, as Robin, is also the premise of the Batman and Robin Vol. 1 series.
- The mind-probe into Batman’s brain is somewhat reminiscent of the Batman: RIP story arc.
- Batwoman’s origins, her connection to her sister, her connection to her father, and her discharge from the military all are explained in the “Batwoman: Elegy” story arc, collected in Batwoman by Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams (Review).
