Tara Markov Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give a timeline of major storylines featuring Terra Markov throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of her appearances, but is a timeline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

Jump to: New 52 – Rebirth

New 52

With the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe’s continuity was reset. Terra’s past was completely wiped clean and she was reintroduced entirely.

This reintroduction happens though The Culling (Reading Order), a crossover event taking place through the Teen Titans, Superboy, and Legion Lost comic series. She then went on to star in The Ravagers, which comprised the majority of her New 52 experiences.

Legion Lost issues are from the Vol. 2 series
Teen Titans issues are from the Vol. 4 series
Superboy issues are from the Vol. 6 series
Ravagers issues are from the Vol. 1 series
Deathstroke issues are from the Vol. 2 series

Notes

1. Though Terra is introduced in this storyline, she does not play a major part in it. The events here are also summarized at the beginning of The Ravagers Vol. 1: The Kids From N.O.W.H.E.R.E. (Review).
2. Terra's role in this storyline is very minor and does not have much of an effect on her personal story. In addition, this arc is almost never mentioned again in later comics

Rebirth

For Terra Markov, the transition from the New 52 to the Rebirth era effectively undoes all of her New 52 appearances. However, it brings back elements of her pre-New 52 history. Specifically, Terra's role in "The Judas Contract" storyline is brought back into continuity and is heavily referenced.

Terra's appearances in this era are heavily tied to the Deathstroke series. Over the course of this comic, her new status quo is established and these previously retconned elements of her past are brought back.
