Silencer Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring the Silencer (Honor Guest) throughout DC Comics. It may not encompass every one of her appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

Universe

The Silencer was introduced in this era and has no prior appearances to it. She first appears in her solo series, The Silencer. This comic was part of DC’s “New Age of Heroes” imprint, a collection of comics stemming from the events of Dark Nights: Metal (Reading Order). Specifically, the main narrative in The Silencer stems from comments made by Talia al Ghul in Dark Days: The Casting #1, collected in Dark Days: The Road to Metal (Reading Order).

Honor Guest’s main role in this era is in her solo series. This comic explains her background, origin story, and current situation. It also explains how her situation is responding to the challenges created throughout this series. Outside of this, her appearances are extremely small and contribute very little to her progression in this era.

Notes

1. These issues are mostly about Nightwing (Reading Order). However, the Silencer has a small, supporting role here that somewhat connects to what is taking place in her solo series.
2. The Silencer's appearance in the Event Leviathan event is small and somewhat conflicts with what took place across her solo series. Because of this, these issues are optional when viewing Honor's personal storyline.
3. These issues are mostly about Wonder Woman (Reading Order). However, the Silencer has a small, supporting role here.
