Lady Shiva Reading Order
This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Lady Shiva (Sandra Wu-San) throughout DC Comics. It may not encompass every one of her appearances but is a timeline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.
The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

New 52
At the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe was reset. In this new continuity, almost every character’s history was mostly wiped clean and they were reintroduced to the DC Universe. It is unclear how much of Lady Shiva’s past was removed, as her past is almost never mentioned. However, it is clear that her reputation as one of the world’s greatest fighters is still known in this new continuity.
Shiva is reintroduced in the Nightwing series. In this comic, she is the primary antagonist but not much about her is revealed. Later on, her connection to the League of Assassins is established. Her connection to this organization is expanded upon most significantly in the Secret Six series, where she is also the primary antagonist.
