James Gordon Jr. Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring James Gordon Jr. throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of his appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

New 52

At the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe was reset. In this new continuity, James Gordon Jr. retains his psychopathic tendencies but it is unclear if his actions in Batman: The Black Mirror are still canon or not.

He is reintroduced to the universe through the Batgirl series, in which he plays a major role across a number of issues. He then goes on to play a supporting role in the Suicide Squad series before his appearances there end for no adequately explained reason. After this, he shows up for a single confrontation in the Batman Eternal comic.

Notes
  1. James Gordon Jr.'s appearances in these issues are pretty minor and essentially end up being cameos. They let the reader know he is still a part of the story but do little more than this.
