Overview
Justice League vs. Suicide Squad (Review) is a crossover between the Justice League and the Suicide Squad series. It contains six core issues that tell the main storyline of the event. These issues should all be read in the order detailed above in order for the story to make sense.
***Between these core issues are a number of tie-in issues. They are not necessary to understand this event but do provide some additional background for what is going on. All tie-in issues are marked with a *.
Before Reading
This crossover event mostly stems from the Justice League and Suicide Squad series. However, besides specific characterizations of heroes and villains, these series do not really set up this event much. Readers can read Justice League Vol. 2: Outbreak (Review) and Suicide Squad Vol. 2: Going Sane (Review) for more background but they do not really serve as much of a prelude.
After Reading
Out of the two series that started this event, the Suicide Squad series deals with its aftermath more. Characters introduced here go on to play a large part of the story in Suicide Squad Vol. 3: Burning Down The House, which is set immediately after Justice League vs. Suicide Squad (Review). The Justice League series, which continues in Justice League Vol. 3: Timeless (Review) is relatively unaffected by what goes on here.
The biggest impact from this event is felt in the creation of the Justice League of America series. This series is created as a direct response to the ending of Justice League vs. Suicide Squad (Review). Justice League of America can be read starting with either Justice League of America: The Road to Rebirth (Review) or Justice League of America Vol. 1: The Extremists (Review).
