Demon Knights Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring the Demon Knights throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of their appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

New 52

At the start of the New 52, the Demon Knights were introduced. This team was formed by Etrigan, Madame Xanadu, Vandal Savage, Shining Knight, The Horsewoman, Al Jabr, and Exoristos. Though most comic books published by DC Comics at this time took place in the present, the adventures of the Demon Knights took place in DC’s Medieval past.

The bulk of these adventures exclusively occur within the Demon Knights series. This comic details their formation and some of their most important adventures. Besides this, the Demon Knights really only appear in random flashbacks from other comic series.
