Amadeus Arkham Reading Order
This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Amadeus Arkham throughout DC Comics. It does not encompass every one of his appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.
The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.
New 52
At the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe was reset. However, it does not appear that this reset had much of an effect on Amadeus Arkham. This is corroborated by statements made in All Star Western: Man out of Time (Review), which imply that the events of Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth are still in continuity.
Amadeus Arkham’s journey through the New 52 takes place across the All Star Western series. This series takes place in the past, before most DC comics from this time, and would also take place long before Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth. Throughout these comics, Amadeus is almost constantly accompanied by Jonah Hex.
