Abigail Arcane Reading Order

This reading order is designed to give an outline of major storylines featuring Abigail Arcane throughout DC Comics. It may not encompass every one of her appearances, but is an outline of the major ones and the stories that affect them.

The continuity details relating to each specific storyline are explained in the “Review” of each storyline. Every “Review” link will provide a detailed continuity breakdown of that story and will explain any reference the story makes to other aspects of the DC Universe. All of this can be found under the “Continuity” section of each link.

Jump to: New 52 – Rebirth

New 52

With the beginning of the New 52, the DC Universe’s continuity was reset. However, some of Abigail’s history was preserved in this transition. Though it is unclear to what extent her history was preserved, it is clear that her relationship with the previous Swamp Thing is still in continuity. Besides this, not much else is known.

Abigail was then reintroduced through the Swamp Thing series. She has a rather large role in the first half of that series and then has a moderate role toward the comic’s end.

Almost all Swamp Thing issues are from the Vol. 5 series
Animal Man issues are from the Vol. 2 series
The last Swamp Thing issues is from the Vol. 6 series

Notes

1. This issue takes place in the alternate future of Futures End (Reading Order). Because of this, it is not completely necessary to the present narrative.
2. Abigail only makes a tiny cameo in this issue.

Rebirth

Abigail Arcane does not appear in the Rebirth era.
