Milestone and Tom Strong Compendium Collections on the Way from DC Comics

Recently, DC Comics has been publishing a new line of “Compendium Collections”. These Compendiums typically collect about the same amount of material as a small Omnibus Edition but do so in a more affordable, paperback volume. Now, we have some news about some new and rather unexpected Compendium Collections.

DC Comics recently announced the long-awaited revival of the Milestone line of comics. They’re also offering fans a chance to read some classic Milestone material through a new Milestone Compendium. The Milestone Compendium is currently set for release on October 26, 2021. The volume is set to collect Blood Syndicate #1-12; Hardware #1-12; Icon #1-10: Static #1-8; Xombi #0-11; and Shadow Cabinet #0.

The Tom Strong Compendium is the other surprise Compendium Collection. This volume is set for release on November 23, 2021. Currently, the contents of this collection are not listed. However, the solicitation details heavily reference writer Alan Moore and artist Chris Sprouse and do not reference any other creators. This seems to indicate that the collection will only include the character’s original comic run.

Alongside these unexpected releases, the Fables Compendium Four has also been solicited. This volume is set for release on December 7, 2021 and is set to collect Fables #114-149.
