“Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Kickstarter Edition Hardcovers” coming from BOOM! Studios

Today, BOOM! Studios launched a Kickstarter campaign for an impressive-looking series of deluxe edition Power Rangers collections. The campaign is currently live on Kickstarter (which you can check out here) and will have collections for pre-order through February 4, 2021.

These newly announced collections are full color, 7.25″ x 11.25″ hardcovers with between 350-500 pages (which would make them similar to other deluxe editions from BOOM! Studios, like the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Beyond the Grid Deluxe Edition). Each volume is set to collect 10-12 issues of the series and includes a cover gallery. However, these new collections are also going to include a “new, original short story” which will be “available for the first time in these deluxe hardcover editions”. Plus, each collection will also come with original cover art “not available on any other collected editions”.

The Kickstarter’s first tier simply includes a single one of these new collections but an array of material is offered at the higher tiers. Some tiers add an exclusive slipcase and an exclusive acetate sleeve that goes over the slipcase. Other tiers include the full set of six hardcovers alongside a collectible box or even a Megazord standee. Some of the top tiers take things even further by including original artwork, autographs from the cast of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show, and the highest tier allows backers to have themselves drawn as a Power Ranger and have their Power Ranger appear in a short story in the sixth hardcover collection.
