“Justice League Dark: The New 52 Omnibus”, “Batgirl of Burnside Omnibus”, and “Batman by Scott Snyder Omnibus Vol. 2” Coming This Fall
After a bit of a drought when it came to DC Omnibus news, the floodgates are finally open. Today, there is a lot of new news about new comic book collections coming from DC Comics. We’ll be reporting on this information as we get it and will be compiling it all together once we’ve got the full picture of Omnibus, Deluxe, and other collections that are coming. For now though, let’s look at a few, new Omnibus Editions.
The Justice League Dark: The New 52 Omnibus is currently set for release on September 21, 2021. The volume is set to collect I, Vampire #7-8; Justice League Dark #0-40; Justice League #22-23; Justice League Dark Annual #1-2; Justice League of America #6-7; Trinity of Sin: The Phantom Stranger #14-17; Constantine #9-12; Trinity of Sin: Pandora #6-9; and Justice League Dark: Futures End #1. This would essentially collect the entire Justice League Dark (Reading Order) New 52 series along with the Trinity War (Reading Order) and Forever Evil: Blight (Reading Order) crossover event. This makes for a very comprehensive omnibus that almost exactly matches the material found in our Justice League Dark Reading Order.
The Batman by Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo Omnibus Vol. 2 is currently set for release on November 16, 2021. The volume is set to collect Batman #34-52; Detective Comics #27; Batman Annual #3-4; Batman: Futures End #1; DC Sneak Peek: Batman #1; Detective Comics #1000; and Batman: Last Knight on Earth #1-3. This finishes collecting material from Snyder and Capullo’s New 52 run on Batman (Reading Order), something that started with the Batman by Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo Omnibus Vol. 1. However, it also includes their work on the Batman: Last Knight on Earth series, which is unexpected but definitely appreciated.
Finally, the Batgirl of Burnside Omnibus is currently set for release on November 23, 2021. The volume is set to collect Batgirl #35-52, Batgirl Annual #3, Secret Origins #10 and DC Sneak Peek: Batgirl #1. Once again, this is a fairly comprehensive collection that mostly matches the “Essential” comics from that era of our Batgirl Reading Order. The only comic it seems to be missing is Batgirl’s appearance in the Batman: Endgame (Reading Order) event.
