Gideon Falls is Getting a Deluxe Edition

Gideon Falls is a mysterious, mind-bending, Eisner Award winning series from acclaimed writer Jeff Lemire and acclaimed artist Andrea Sorrentino. The series has been around since 2018 and has received plenty of attention since then. However, fans have yet to receive a premium way in which to appreciate the comic’s art and storytelling. Now, with the solicitation of a new hardcover edition, it looks like fans of the series are in luck.

Gideon Falls Deluxe Edition, Book One is set to collect issues #1-16 of the series alongside some “extras”. These issues comprise about half of the series or the contents of the first three paperback volumes. The solicitations indicates the “extras” here will include a “variant cover gallery from some of comics’ best artists, like Cliff Chiang, Jock, Tula Lotay, Skot-tie Young, and many more!”. With these contents in mind and the fact that this is listed as “Book One”, I would imagine a second deluxe edition would be coming at a later point and would finish collecting the series (though this is speculation as nothing as officially been announced). The collection is currently set for release on August 31, 2021.
