Exclusive Stories From DC’s 100-Page Giants Finally Get Collected Editions
Last year, DC Comics released a line of 100-Page Giant comics that were exclusively sold at Walmart. Each of these comics collected a curated selection of previously published DC Comics material but also contained one brand new comic story. Now, some of these brand new stories are finally being collected into volumes that will be easily available to everyone.
The first three offerings from this new series collect the first round of twelve-part stories from the 100-Page Giants. These arcs place an individual focus on either Superman, Batman, or Wonder Woman and are created by a highly regarded team of comic book writers and artists.
The collections include:
- Superman: Up in the Sky by Tom King and Andy Kubert
- Release Date: November 19, 2019
- Batman: Universe by Brian Michael Bendis and Nick Derington
- Release Date: October 29, 2019
- Wonder Woman: Come Back to Me by Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Chad Hardin
- Release Date: November 12, 2019
Each of these new collections are currently solicited as standard sized volumes. The Superman and Batman collections are set to release as hardcovers while the Wonder Woman collection is set to release as a paperback. Though the solicitations do not definitively state that the entire twelve-part story arc will be collected, the size of the book and the lack of a “Vol. 1” on the solicitations indicate that it is likely they will. However, keep in mind that, like all comic solicitations, all of this information is subject to change as the volumes’ release dates approach.
As of now, it is unclear if/when more of the exclusive stories from the 100-Page Giant series will be recollected and published. There are still stories from Batman, Superman, the Teen Titans, and more that are currently uncollected. However, we’ll be sure to keep our ear out for any additional information so be sure to follow ComicBookWire on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest to stay up to date.
