Doom Patrol by Gerard Way and Nick Derington is Getting a Deluxe Edition

Back in 2016, DC Comics launched the “Young Animal” comic book imprint, curated by Gerard Way. The entire lineup was incredibly unique and starred both fun, new characters and re-imagined versions of old characters, with characters like Shade the Changing Girl (Reading Order) and Mother Panic (Reading Order) stepping into the light. However, the standout series may have been Gerard Way and Nick Derington’s incredibly wild yet meaningful Doom Patrol. Now, this awesome comic book is being rereleased as a Hardcover Deluxe Edition.

Doom Patrol by Gerard Way and Nick Derington: The Deluxe Edition is currently set for release on February 28, 2023. This volume is set to collect Doom Patrol #1-12 (2016-2018) and tales from Doom Patrol Vol. 2: Nada and Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds #1-7. This should collect the vast majority of Gerard Way’s work on the series. However, it doesn’t appear as if it will include material from the Milk Wars (Reading Order) crossover event, despite parts of it coming from Gerard Way and Nick Derington. Even with this exclusion though, the collection still gathers together a lot of great material and is definitely something fans should be excited for.
