“Batman Ultimate Guide New Edition” is on the Way

It’s been a little while since DC has published an updated guide to Batman. An updated guide to the DC Universe is coming in July but Batman, as an individual, has gone through enough changes to necessitate an updated guide on his own. He reconnected with Catwoman across Tom King’s run (Reading Order), fought with the Justice League in Scott Snyder’s run (Reading Order), and was most recently pitted against his arch nemesis in The Joker War (Reading Order). Now, we have an idea on when an updated Batman guide is coming.

The Batman Ultimate Guide New Edition is currently set for release on February 15, 2022. The volume is set to include updates that explain what happened to Batman across the Rebirth era, specifically including the events of Dark Nights: Metal (Review) (Reading Order) and Dark Nights: Death Metal (Review). This would effectively update the guide to the present day, as the fallout from Death Metal features the most recent changes to Batman’s past and present. In this way, this new guide could be a great way to catch up on what Batman has been doing recently, which would make it easier to jump back into Batman comics.
