“Batman: The Court of Owls Deluxe Edition” Coming This Fall

“The Court of Owls” storyline was the explosive opening and one of the most memorable moments of Scott Snyder’s New 52 run on Batman (Reading Order). This storyline had previously been collected as a trade paperback and as part of the first Batman by Scott Snyder & Greg Capullo Omnibus. Now, an upcoming deluxe edition will allow readers to experience “The Court of Owls” storyline in an oversized format without dealing with a bulky omnibus edition.

Batman: The Court of Owls Deluxe Edition is set for release on September 14, 2021. The solicitation for this collection currently states it will collect issues #1-6 of the Batman series. However, this solicitation may be incorrect. Almost every volume that previously collected this storyline collects past issue six so I would be surprised if this deluxe edition only collects up to issue six. Plus, this solicitations states that this volume is supposed to contain 368 pages, which is far more than six issues of content. On top of all of this, the draft cover for this collection uses the cover from issue seven, so it would be very odd if issue seven was not included. I would suggest interested readers keep an eye on this solicitation, as it may be updated as we approach the release date for this book.
